Extending cord lamp

Mezzo is a research project on LED technology. The project aims to give some dignity to a humble and often overlooked product: the extension cord. In this case, what used to be merely a conductor of electricity to power a lamp becomes the source of lighting itself.
The result is a lamp that can serve as a power cord and vice versa. Il mezzo diventa il fine.

Lunar ice cream system

Archaic is a lunar ice cream maker for a moon base. The name itself suggests the design methodology: imagining astronauts as inhabitants of a new world, Archaic is a tool dictated by the specifications of the lunar environment: Scarce availability of ingredients, materials and energy resources.
The project has been featured at XXIII Triennale di Milano UNKNOWN UNKNOWNS. Il gelato come esportatore di felicità terrestre.

Inspired by the Japanese legend of the red thread, Akai Ito, which tells that each of us is invisibly connected by a red thread to our destined person. Similarly, this lamp, seemingly fragile and almost invisible when turned off, becomes—once illuminated—a symbol of the strength and wonder that emerge from connections, in this case, between two opposing poles.
